HTC Haiti Relief Efforts

In the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that has hit Haiti, Healing the Children chapters all over the country are responding to the call for help.

With the help of hundreds of volunteer medical professionals, host families, and workers, we can and will make a difference in the lives of Haitian children!  When the dust settles, Healing the Children will be there, healing one child at a time.

For over 30 years, Healing the Children has provided free medical care to children who live in countries where the care is not readily available.  Haiti is no different.
Our mission is two fold:

1. Our goal is to bring 50-100 children into the U.S. for medical care.  We are currently working on and have received commitments from pediatric hospitals all over the country, who are willing to donate their services to help children from Haiti who have been injured in the earthquake.

2. We are also networking with international partners in the Dominican Republic, “Fundacion Corazones Unidos”, to determine their operating capacity.  The idea being that we may send teams of doctors and medical professionals over time to both the DR and Haiti, to provide the necessary medical care that’s needed in the field.
