Children’s Heart Fund of Ethiopia

Healing the Children over the last several years has partnered with multiple International organizations, including Project CURE and Chain of Hope, to deliver much needed medical equipment to the Children’s Heart Fund of Ethiopia.  Located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the Children’s Heart Fund of Ethiopia (CHFE) is responsible for creating a first of its kind, state of the art, caridiac center of excellence in the Horn of Africa.

In addition to outfitting the CHFE Cardiac Hospital with equipment,  HTC is committed to sending teams of doctors to perform operations and teach the local medical professionals.  The Arizona Chapter recently sent a team of cardiac surgeons, led by Dr. Michael Teodori,  to CHFE.  They were able to complete 14 successful open heart surgeries.  The Arizona Chapter plans on sending another team in the near future.
