Miss World America Supports Healing the Children
Thank you to Miss World America Clarissa Bowers for her work on behalf of the Florida/Georgia chapter of Healing the Children. Clarissa is an oral-maxillo-facial surgical assistant and is studying neuroscience in preparation to become a reconstructive surgeon. Her work with Healing the Children is her Beauty with a Purpose project in her role as Miss World America.
Healing the Children is a volunteer organization that harnesses the energy and kind spirit of medical professionals, administrators, translators, and many others to give the gift of healing to children in the United States and around the world.
Clarissa Bowers is among the many Healing the Children volunteers who give selflessly of their time, skills, and energy to provide care and healing for kids who would otherwise lack access to the help they need. Take a moment to listen to her message of hope and healing. With the passion and efforts of volunteers like Clarissa Bowers, Healing the Children has helped over 269,000 children with serious unmet medical needs since 1979.
Thanks to our Volunteers!
It's because of our volunteers that Healing the Children can provide on average $12 in goods and services for every dollar donated, with incredibly low non-program overhead costs -- just 1.73% in 2016. That's 98.27% of revenue going directly into our programs for children.
Can you get behind that? Add Healing the Children to your Giving Tuesday list this year. Your donation to Healing the Children will change the life of a child, their family, and their community.
