PROJECT SUMMARY
For 15 years, Dr. Alireza “Ali” Khosroabadi, DPM, and his dedicated medical team have traveled to Kathmandu, Nepal, bringing life-changing surgical care to children with clubfoot and other debilitating foot and ankle conditions and deformities. In a country known for its breathtaking mountains and rich culture, millions of children remain trapped by poverty and a lack of access to medical care. These treatable conditions affect over 30 million children worldwide—yet half of them receive no care, leaving them to face a lifetime of pain and disability.
Dr. Ali and his team refuse to accept this reality. Year after year, they return to Nepal, performing complex surgeries, training local doctors, and giving children the ability to walk, run, and dream of a brighter future. But they can’t do it alone. Your support provides essential medical supplies, surgical tools, and access to care for the children who need it most.
Join us in transforming lives—one step at a time. Donate today and help change a child’s future.
POTENTIAL OF LONG TERM IMPACT
The goal of Dr. Ali and his team is to provide needy children with foot and ankle surgery, post-op support, and a set of crutches. Thanks to our partnership with the Nepal Orthopedic Hospital (NOH) and training in the "Ponseti" method, we can now help correct clubfoot at birth. Nearly all children with club feet are treated successfully. Most should be able to take part in regular daily activities. They will learn to walk at the usual age, enjoy physical activities, and be able to wear regular footwear after treatment.
Every year, Dr. Ali commits to raising funds for an expensive piece of equipment for the NOH. Recently, he brought a portable X-ray machine and last year's power equipment. The HTC medical volunteers provide all their expenses, take time off work, leave their families, raise funds, and secure donated equipment and medical supplies to travel worldwide to help heal children.
Your financial support makes this all possible - Thank You!
